EXPLORE THE MAGIC
Changing Lives Through Equine Partnerships
This is part of our annual campaign to celebrate the generosity that has allowed us the privilege of serving this community for 42 years. It is also our opportunity to ensure 2025 will be a year of magic for the over 200 persons being served over 28 weeks of programming.
2024 has been a great year. Volunteers have given over 5,900 hours in service to those we serve together. Donors have provided over $93,000 in horse and rider sponsorships. Thank you. Maybe you have had the opportunity to experience the joy of receiving much more than you have given. That is part of the Magic. Over the next 8 weeks, we will be sharing stories of changed lives. Stories like Lindsey’s:
“My journey at REINS began in 2021 with the biggest stroke of luck landing me as a horse leader in an Adaptive Riding class with the sweetest group of ladies. In that group was an incredible woman named Chelsea who quickly became one of my most favorite humans and without a doubt, my favorite hour of the week was spent at the barn with her and her group. The absolute joy that walking into the arena brings to them is both inspiring and infectious. Four summers later, we've shared so much life together in those beautiful summer evenings. Life and growth and always an incredible sense of peace that exhibits why we do what we do. I wish it were possible to put to paper Chelsea's laugh when her horse Marty does something silly or Morgan gives her a challenge. The impact on these amazing participants is profound and I am very proud to be a small part of the magic.”
Or Jim's:One of the first riders I worked with as a sidewalker was a blind man who was a very good rider. He would say a few times during his ride that he wanted to go to a restaurant and had to be reminded of what he was doing at the moment! A few years later I found out he had a key chain collection that he could feel the different shapes of the key chains. When I went on my bicycle trips around the county I would look for different shaped key chains to give to him.”
The participant Jim connected with is Michael Simon. Michael participated for 41 years. Sadly, he passed away earlier this year. Donor support made it possible for REINS to be a significant part of Michael’s 50 years of life.
Won't you consider making a gift of support in honor of Michael and the many people served by REINS.
Thank you for your support.
